Prayer partners are asked to pray for SDBs in Southern Malawi. They are being affected by Severe flooding. We got word that our Brethren in the Lower Shire valley, Southern Malawi are being affected by floods. The BBC News report that more than 170 people have been killed and 200,000 displaced by torrential rain and flooding in Malawi. Large areas in the south are underwater and the continuing rain is making rescue operations difficult (http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-30874965).

Africa SDBs Face Civil Unrest"The flooding started on the night of Thursday,  8th January. Many families were made homeless and they lost their possessions as they tried to escape from the floods...We visited the brothers on the Sabbath of January 10th .... The rains continued falling with short breaks and caused severe flooding...I am forwarding it to you to help our brothers with material assistance, but much more with your prayers as the rains are predicted to continue for another week or more" Patrick D. Wella, General Secretary of the Central Africa Conference of SDB

"Reach down your hand from on high; deliver me (us) and rescue me (us) from the mighty waters..." - Psalms 144:7
